  • We've been planting a number of citrus in containers around the in-process-of-renovating Meadow House ‪@FlockFingerLakes‬ and we're continuing with that by adding a kumquat and limequat.
Special thanks to ‪@espoma‬ for partnering with us on this video.

I have a flying dragon. The fruit has a very intense perfume fragrance, and it tastes like a slightly sweet lemon. The skin is soft like a peach. Overall, It’s a very odd looking shrub.

Great video, thanks for featuring kumquats. They are a very under utilized fruit that is a really productive growing in containers!

I'm making preserved lemons with limquats - a lot of salt and they last for years in a jar. I make them the same way that preserved lemons are made in North Africa.

I'm growing both. I got lime quats this year. I also have pink lemons, variegated. Unfortunately when I bring them in during winter the lemons are scale magnets! The little limes were very strong! Very nice!

I am concerned about scale and mealybugs. I'm thinking these plants will have to get their own quarantine room!

Kyumquats are delicious when ripe. Underripe kumquats from the grocery are meh.

Two fantastic types of plant but the first one doesn’t look like it was particularly well grown, with the graft being so disjointed and the top leader going to the right so much 🤔
